Research Question:How does understanding the circuits of fear support the development of future studies regarding treatment strategies for individuals who face fears?
Thesis Statement:Once there is an understanding of the pathway fear takes, suppressing specific memories with various options such as a change of mindset, prescriptions, and/or therapy are options to treat conditioned fears.

Thesis Paper:
Action Project Description:My action project goal was to take on new skill sets in order to communicate how fear travels through the brain by using an interactive board. This board required the use of laser cutting, working with wires/buttons, and basic drilling. When audience members press a labeled button, a region of the (laser cut) brain lights up. The lights represent areas of the brain that correspond with fear such as the amygdala or the prefrontal cortex. The only part of this visual that goes unrepresented is the incoming stimuli (sight/hearing/feeling).
